WE MADE IT!
that's all that even matters, right?
isn't he funny!
when we were about 15 minutes away from our apartment, he started getting annoyed of that DANG carseat! =] but for the WHOLE rest of the drive he was absolutely amazing! the town we are staying in is, Wildwood, Missouri! so far it seems like a pretty nice little town with LOTS to do! as bobby and i were driving up i said, "bobby, it feel like we're in the middle of no where!" (because there are so many trees on each side of the highway!) you feel like your in the forest. he just laughed and then we drove past a lamborghini dealership and he said, "do you think they'd have one of those in the middle of nowhere!?" anyways, what i'm getting at is that this place is BEAUTIFUL! everything is green and the skies are BLUE! not gray.
the drive went really well too. as we drove out of idaho and into wyoming is was snowing pretty hard but it cleared up... (i never wish this drive on anyone!) but after we got about half way through nebraska it was beautiful! my dad and susan we kinda enough to let us borrow there "fire of the covenant" cds. and let me tell you... the book is AMAZING! i found myself crying on multiple occasions. and it was really cool to be driving through the places that the saints had gone through too. and to think back on my own experience of pulling handcarts at martins cove. i know that i would not have made it to "the valley." is it sad that i know that? anyways, great book! read it! =] or in our case, listen to it.
we stopped in Kansas City, MO to stay the night on friday night. we FELL IN LOVE with this city! it is beautiful! and such a fun place to be! we stayed on the 17th floor of the marriott in downtown! it was so much fun! and my sweet hubby took my to the cheesecake factory! =] i love him!
Now...
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
this day always just SPRINGS up on me. and i'm never ready for the emotions that it brings.
my 3rd... (can you believe that!) mother's day without my own mom to celebrate with. but also my FIRST as a mom! even though i miss my mom SO much, i know that she was needed somewhere else today. i try not to be selfish and i try not to just want to scream about not having her here. but i know she's happy and i KNOW that i will get to see her again! and i thank her daily for picking out boston especially for bobby and i!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOM!
we sure do love you and miss you!
(and thank you dad for putting these flower's on mom's grave and sending me this picture!)
i love you too!
